Progress Bar is launching in Amsterdam!

Described as “cutting edge thinking and dancing” by FACT Magazine, the event presents a lively mix of talks, screenings, music and a club in a single night: providing insight into the creative practice of contemporary culture's most exciting names, from vanguard music producers and filmmakers to trending artists and activists.

Amsterdam’s first edition will focus on music, with talks by music and culture journalist Aimee Cliff (The Fader) and Trinidadian musician, writer and performer Roger Robinson (co-founder KMS) kicking things off.

Following this, King Midas Sound & Fennesz, the new creative collaboration between King Midas Sound and Austrian electronic music pioneer Christian Fennesz, will perform Edition 1, described as “a slow-building, smoky crescendo of noise” by Holly Dicker in Resident Advisor.

Taking Progress Bar into the early hours will be a club night featuring Lexxi, ENDGAME & Kamixlo – London figureheads perhaps best known from the infamous Endless club night, which is often cited in the context of giving a “middle finger to the shadowy forces that conspire to shut down” – Dazed and Confused Magazine.
