Leon Gardner was an American dancer and B3 Hammond player. Having moved from his home in Texas to Los Angeles sometime in the mid 1960s, he set up his own record label, Igloo Records, as well as a publishing company which he named Shelita after his eldest daughter. Due to a lack of success, he became frustrated and became increasingly more reclusive, which in turn led to a rift between him and his family. Around 1974 Gardner seemed to disappear under the radar.
