Mal struck and thunder sound
all started singing as the ship went down
everybody knew where the boat was bound
to the shipwreck ledger of the lost and found
the captain said to the fisherman's daughter
"hold your breath, we're going underwater
you can't stay here anymore
but if you jump out now, you can make it to shore"
Some swam off without saying goodbye
most of them folk never made it alive
the ones who did only just survived
but they told that story till the day they died

But the captain cried "my work here 'aint done!"

Destiny sighed, the captain drowned
He sleeps with the fishies and the mermaids now
Well the fisherman's daughter swam alone
Soul deceased with the captain's bones
Nobody knows if she ever got home
But her heart's in the locker of Davey Jones.
