Biography

Britva Okkama translates as Occam's razor. The band is named after a philosophical principle that postulates that the simplest of several possibilities is most likely to be true. Britva Okkama follows this philosophy in their music as well, discarding the superfluous and leaving the most essential. Britva Okkama was born in July 2002 in Moscow, Russia when all the members met each other: Mitiay (vocals), Bogdan (guitar), Looka (drums), Mulan (bass guitar).

Britva Okkama recorded their first album in December 2003. Its name is "Ком" (Lump). It means a little lump of snow which is very small at the beginning but eventually turns into a biggest avalanche. In 2005 they issued a single "Табу!" (Taboo!). By that time Looka had left the band, and was replaced on drums by Diman.

In December 2005 after 2 years since first album group decided to take a break. Later, winter 2006, Bogdan has left. Mitiay, Diman and Mulan continued work at new album. But on August 2, 2006 Mulan decided to stop working with Britva Okkama.

In 2007 there were more changes. Mulan has returned to the group. 12 new demo tracks have been recorded. They are available for downloading and listening on an official site of group http://www.britvaokkama.com.
