...и Друг Мой Грузовик (up-to-date correct name) (in eng. could sound as "…And Truck, The Friend Of Mine" or so) is a trio from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. It was founded by Rostislav Chaban (bass, vocals), Anton Slepakov (lead vocals) and Vladimir Busel (drums) in 1997 and the original name was Я и Друг Мой Грузовик. The name was changed to its present version after Vladimir Busel left the band. Current lineup consists of Anton, Rostislav and young drummer Denis Shvets.
The band's style consists of a powerfull bass/drums combination and dynamic vocals. Their lyrics, usually written about ordinary life situations, incorporate original rhymes and an intelligent sence of humour. The band is well-known for their highly energetic live perfomances.
In 2008 trio released album Не улыбаются credited to offshot side-project НеГрузовики. So far Не улыбаются distributed only as a free download MP3. In 2009 at their home city they played role of Damo Suzuki's "soundcarriers" in the first ever Damo's visit to Ukraine, participating in the legendary Damo Suzuki's Network.
Current gig activity of trio disproved fans' fears of "the end of the band", evoked by emergence of side-project — trio keeps touring, successfully combining both programs.
