Top 5 favorite band easy. Finn is one of the greatest of alltime and this band left such an underrated musical legacy.

It's always Americans who dimiss Crowded House as one-hit wonders, every Aussie and Kiwi on the planet adores them. I love Neil Finn, he's a fantastic songwriter.

Well in mainland Europe (at least in Belgium) they're at least 3 hit wonders with "Weather with You", "Don't Dream it's Over" and "Four Seasons in One Day". And "Fall at Your Feet" and "Chocolate Cake" still get played on the radio as well, ocasionally. So it might just be an American problem indeed. :)

They're definitely not one hit wonders to Aussies and Kiwis as other people have said. They're pretty much the soundtrack to my 90s Aussie childhood

I had the biggest shock of my life when I heard Paul had died. Everything fell apart when I found out.

Seriously, it is not about the two hits that Crowded House had in the US. Neil Finn is a genius whose songwriting ranks up there with the best songwriters of all time. 'Hit' songs do not equal quality, and that especially applies to today. Much of the rest of the world knows Crowded House a lot better than the US---sort of like Midnight Oil.

Good thing I live in Canada!!! I got to listen to entire albums by Crowded House AND Midnight Oil. But it's the same thing here. Don't listen to the radio or you'll never hear anything new. I remember in the 90s when I could not find "Breathe" or "Redneck Wonderland" in record stores. Thank god for streaming today. I get whatever I want.

They had a few songs that were hits, depending on where you live. In the US they had one song that went to #2 and one that went to #7. "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong" got heavy radio play where I live.

No, each song on their albums are generally of similar quality. Woodface and Together Alone are my favourite CH albums, it's hard to pick a best song from either of those.

Fall at Your Feet is a fantastic song. I have fond memories of my dad playing it on guitar.
