I remember the first song I ever listened to by them. It was a cover Von's Satanic Blood. Von's Satanic Blood at that time was only a demo song off a demo entitled Satanic Blood released in 1992. Quite strange and cool that Dark Funeral liked that obscure American black metal demo song so much to the point where they felt it would be a good idea to cover it.

Dark Funeral is not generally considered a "pop" or "sell-out" band within the black metal community. While their music may be more accessible than some other black metal bands due to the use of some melodic elements, they are still considered a fairly extreme and uncompromising band in terms of their overall style and lyrical themes. Furthermore, Dark Funeral has been consistently active and productive since their formation, with a number of well-regarded albums and live performances. They have also maintained a strong following among fans of black metal and extreme metal more broadly. Of course, opinions on any given band can vary widely within the metal community, and there may be individuals or factions who view Dark Funeral differently. However, it would not be accurate to characterize them as a "pop" or "sell-out" band overall.

The new album had potential but unfortunately most of the riffs are almost inaudible.

6.5 million scrobbles are a proof this band has achieved success, unlike other BM bands that have less than 1 million scrobbles. The Secrets of the Black Arts is my favourite album
