Biography
European electro act, Etrangers, summons the ghost of French Existentialism and brings it to the dancefloor. A synthesis of cool beats and moody electronics combine with fractured, distorted vocals to express the longing and hidden desire underpinning the European club scene. Each track embodies the ambiguous emotion at the heart of 21st Century romance in a uniquely European style.
Influences include Sartre, De Beavoir, midnight catfights and the deep sound of longing. Agnetha Faltskog meeting Yello meeting Kraftwerk on the Trans-European Express. The music echoes Murakami, Goldfrapp and the howling wind. Think of the seething rhythms of the blue hour. Imagine Scandinavian melancholy infused with a chilly eroticism.
Etrangers live performance combines video/photographic installation work with programmed beats to express the Etrangers vibe in an almost totally live setting. The results have been described as 'Haunting' and 'Provovative' by press and audiences alike.
Etrangers tracks are distributed globally and attract club and radio plays all over the world.
