I've got a serious problem with this one. I love Jack, but I don't really feel the thing that he did on this one. To be honest - for me it is like.. nothing special? I mean, this guy is a freaking talented creature,I thought that he'll kick my ass up to space with his solo stuff, and he records something like this - just another garage-southern album. Maybe it'll grow on me after some time - I gave it a couple of chances in my earphones since it was released, maybe it needs some more.

with all this mainstream tripe all over the radios it is so refreshing to hear artists still making the music they love [2]

Rented this album from my local library earlier today for £1.25, and after listening to it I can safely say I am overly happy with it, with all this mainstream tripe all over the radios it is so refreshing to hear artists still making the music they love, and working hard at it too, with instruments such as Mandolins it really is a breath of fresh air. Cheers Jack

Great album... as good as anything he did with Meg although her absence highlights what made the White Stripes so special.

Side A is incredible, Side B ... is decent. Maybe those songs will eventually grow on me.
