David Wallace III (born December 16, 2004), better known by his stage name KA$HDAMI, is an American rapper reigning from Las Vegas, Nevada. He moved to the DMV area when he was 7, which is where he currently resides.

During an interview with Dirty Glove Bastard in March 2021, the DMV-based rapper explained the origin of his stage name:

I was watching this movie The Omen and there was this white boy named Damian, and he was like the bad kid, and we was like “Oh yeah that’s me” and then we had “KA$HWAYZ” (Collective) so I just put them together and got KA$HDAMI.

Dami has been cosigned by names such as Cole Bennett, Pierre Bourne, Lil Tecca, ssgkobe, Cochise, Yung Bans and Taz Taylor among others.

Dami has been proving himself, with songs like January 2021’s “Reparations!” and March 2021’s “Look N The Mirror!” both gaining over 150 million total streams through Soundcloud, Spotify, and YouTube. Thanks to the success of these songs, KA$HDAMI would land a deal with Republic Records in May 2021. This would eventually lead up to KA$HDAMI releasing his debut major-label album, epiphany, on June 2, 2021, with features ranging from tana, yvngxchris, SSGKobe, and more.

On November 12, 2021, KA$HDAMI released the mixtape HYPERNOVA., which included his fist big cosign by Cleveland artist Trippie Redd. This tape further boosted his name and surpassed his fans expectations.

After continuing to release a slew of singles through streaming platforms, including some independent releases on his archive page, on September 16, 2022, KA$HDAMI released his sophomore album, WORLD DAMINATION. That same year, DAMI would release his EP, 18, on December 16, 2022.

The future looks up for Dami; with more projects on the way, it’s only a matter of time before the DMV artist gains recognition, especially after he was shown to be included on the 2021 Rolling Loud California lineup as well as Summer Smash hosted by Cole Bennett, the creator of Lyrical Lemonade.

Alongside with his musical career, KA$HDAMI also owns a multi-media brand named KA$HWAYZ, in which music is being released under there, as well as merchandise being sold occasionally. The brand launched way back in 2020.
