"Tomorrow Never Came" conveys a feeling of longing and regret. In the song, Lana is singing about the time she waited for someone special in the rain, in the spot they said they would meet. Despite her anticipation and hope, their meeting never happened, as tomorrow never came. This conveys the message that some of life's most special moments are transient, and can arrive and then disappear in an instant, speaking to the difficulty and fragility of life. It encourages us to cherish the time that we have, and to make the most of each and every day.
