Petr Kalandra (March 10, 1950 - September 7, 1995) was one of the most famous Czech blues musicians - a guitarist, harmonica player, and composer. Throughout his career he played in several bands, especially to mention Marsyas, A.S.P.M., and Blues Session. He was also a studio artist of great reputation and he recorded a number of film songs (Tankový prapor).
As a child he spent some time in Tunisia, France and the USA with his parents, which later had an influence on his music. During the seventies he played with many famous Czech musicians like Zuzana Michnová, Jaroslav Hutka, Vladimír Merta, Jan Hrubý and Vladimír Mišík.
In 1973 he started playing with the band Marsyas. In 1975 he got married, in 1984 he left Marsyas and joined the trio A.S.P.M. From 1991 till his death he played with the group Blues Session.

2)
Kalandra (No relation to Petr Kalandra) is an alternative Nordic pop band spearheaded by four Norwegian musicians (Jogeir Daae Mæland, Katrine Stenbekk, Florian Döderlein Winter and Oskar Johnsen Rydh) weaving ethereal melodies into raw and eerie musical landscapes.

After «balancing rocks» as band members for almost a decade already, 2020 was the year from which you could all finally enjoy the fruits of their labor with their debut album ‘The Line’ released on October 23rd. Kalandra has previously supported Nordic bands such as Gåte, Seigmen, Wardruna and Eivør. Their cover of ‘Helvegen’ by Wardruna, has amassed over two million views on YouTube which eventually led them to sign with the record label By Norse Music. They’ve also stumbled onto the filmset of the HBO Nordic series ‘Beforeigners’ (season 1), and composed two soundtracks for the series.

According to Last.fm, "Petr Kalandra" and "Kalandra" are one and the same. Hopefully this can be remedied within the next 10 years.
