Scarfo were JAMIE HINCE on guitar and vocals, NICK PRIOR on bass, and AL SAUNDERS on drums.
In 1995 they moved to london, where after vigourous gigging they released their first single on FIERCE PANDA, before being snapped up by indie label, DECEPTIVE RECORDS.
A mini-album and single followed but the went into an enforced hiatus whilst drummer AL recovered from being hit by a car.
The comeback was worth waiting for. ELO and ALKALINE made the UK charts, the latter being heavily played on RADIO 1.
Dates supporting the likes of PLACEBO, SILVER SUN and ASH, festival appearances, and a full UK tour, which was only slightly interrupted by their van exploding en route to derbyshire.
The last single was released in september 1998, and DECEPTIVE RECORDS are no more.
JAMIE has since formed FIJI and is now in THE KILLS.
NICK was last seen in the band PART CHIMP.
