Biography
There are at least two bands with the name Somnolent.
1) http://somnolent-ua.bandcamp.com/, Somnolent was founded in 2006 as a funeral doom metal band. Since that time the band has performed at many festivals in Ukraine and Russia and released several recordings including the full-length album published by Solitude Productions. For now the band has changed its style to post-metal, progressive, sludge, heading for further experiments. The new album "Renaissance Unraveling" was released in 2011 by Slow Burn Records.

2) Formed in 2004 in the United States, Somnolent has recorded multiple full lengths and in 2005 had two of their tracks featured on "Nothing Concrete", a sampler put together by Cure keyboardist Roger O' Donnell for his label 99xoutof10.
