German Rock Award Winners 2006 Submarien make it quite plain that they are on their straight way from a national newcomer to a serious top act. With their Live-DVD Dry Your Eyes and their first tour in 2007 they showed a continously growing audience what some insiders already knew before: that this is going to be one of the most promising German bands of the next decade.
Not only is the music full of different facets, where traditional rock meets modern sounds and atmosphere. The most remarkable part in the live show of course plays front singer Barbara Padron Hernandez. The 25-year-old Cuban by birth makes the difference between a band like any other and Submarien. A diva on stage. Forcing every audience to listen only with her presence and charisma. People close their eyes and dive into the music. Dance and cry.
For Submarien stage is not the place to simply perform their songs, it is the moment that brings life to all of them. Only music matters. The passion of the band members. The enthusiastic belief in the thing they do together. And suddenly everything makes sense.
