I would like to join all the kind words said here about this amazing piece of love, light and music! This masterpiece taught me a lot such as understanding harmonies, feelings and the beautiful English language.

I listened to this albums tons as a kid...it came with a beautiful lyrics book on parchment-like paper and cursive style font.

okay, the compilation originates from '77, but this one here is a virtual disc, i dare say! :) Ian MacDonald says in his book that the original (?discount-)horn solo was later back-accelerated by varispeed (along with the pitch of course in those days)... by the way, it is not an easy part for a horn, ! esp. not at the final (quarter) pitch... -- compare it with the '84? version on Paul's 'Broad Str.' -- i wonder what that horn was tune! to!... :) - a hornist

has any one of you heard of this album released in a cd format? what more, of a remixed edition in 2009? :) so, it is only an arbitrary compilation of files, is it not? :) but i like it! especially the horn solo in 'for no one' by prof alan civil! :)

It's curious to see "You're going to lose that girl" and "She's leaving home" rated as love songs. One can say that they talk indirectly about love, but they aren't the kind of love song we are all used to. Maybe "I am the Walrus" is a love song too.
