Is this the greatest Stones album? Might be – I personally prefer the stylistically sparse "Beggars Banquet" and the scattered, all-over-the-place "Exile on Main Street" but I'm all open to the claim that "Sticky Fingers" might be their best. What it definitely is is their most straight-out rocker. 10 killer songs – whether heavy or ballads; country-flavored one's as always with the Stones, terrific too. Some of the least popular tracks here are actually my favorites – "You Gotta Move" and "Sway".

The Stones' best album, bar-none. Every song is great, and half of them are classics. The guitar playing is top-notch, the saxes and strings are perfectly placed, the musicianship is fabulous. You can make the case that the Stones were the greatest rock band in the world at the time.

It's a toss-up between this and Exile on Main St. for best Stones album for me. They could seemingly do no wrong at this point in their careers.

This one is a winner in every possible respect. Mick Taylor's guitar playing is incredible, the songwriting is the best of the band's career, the production is perfect, the riffs Keith came up with are terrific, etc., etc. There's not a single nagging doubt in my mind that this is the best album they ever did. Most Stones albums have one or two duffers, but every track here is solid and a good 5 or 6 of them are among the best of the band's career.

Why new releases are placed in original albums? And what does all that drivel in the titles?

Simply one of the essential rock albums. If you don't like this, or at least respect it, I'm not sure I want to know you.
