Biography
Thomas William Thacker (Tom Thacker) (born 11 April 1978, in Langley BC, Canada) is the lead singer for Canadian punk rock group Gob and is currently an official member & guitar player for Sum 41.
Thacker stated in an interview with View Magazine in 2007 that his biological father is the tennis legend John McEnroe. Even though it was a joke, many took it serious and McEnroe is therefore listed many places as Thacker's father.
On June 26, 2009, in a special chat taking place on the website AbsolutePunk.net, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley made it clear that Tom is now an official member of the band and not just a touring member.
Sum 41's new album "Screaming Bloody Murder" was released March 29 2011.
Tom has said that he wrote a track by the name of "Panic Attack" for Sum 41's latest album Screaming Bloody Murder, and has confirmed that the track has since been remade, re-arranged and renamed "Screaming Bloody Murder" by Deryck Whibley.
