valCooL first discovered Drum & Bass music at the end of 2002 when he moved to Minsk and met other people with similar music tastes. One of these people introduced him to this style of music. The first compilation he listened to was "KILLABITES by Technical Itch", a 2 CD collection of hard Drum & Bass music. This led him to his love of this style of music ever since. Gradually he began to produce his own tracks (previously he had produced hip-hop). Through the internet he found out that Drum & Bass parties were held regularly in Minsk. The first d’n’b party he attended was at the "NC" club in the beginning of 2004 and now regularly attends the d’n’b parties.

As with many, producing d’n’b led him to become a DJ as well. At the beginning he played at several private parties organized by Neutralogic promo group, where he managed to gain some experience, but these events can’t be called really serious. His first serious debut as a DJ took place at the "Step" club on December the 14th of 2005 at the party called "EASY STEPS", organized by the "2LOUD" promo group.

He prefers CD’s, and also plays lots of new stuff from other producers, but still loves the feel of vinyl. In 2006 he managed to participate in such events as, "The System of Electronic Madness No.14", "Aichyna Shoutcast 1st celebration", "Dark Dayz Sessionz part 1", "Jungle. Drum & Bass Exclusive" (b2b with DJ Extra), "Nuclear Drum & Bass", "X-Mas Catz Party". In 2007 he participated in "Dark Dayz Sessionz (Part 2)", "Hello World!", "Evening Bass Flavour", "Hard & Heavy Drum & Bass", "Dark&Light DnB Tuesday", "Mad Rave", "DnB & Something else…" , "United Colours", "Summertime A", "Drum & Bass Tuesday" 12.06, "Dark Brothers", "valCooL's Birthday Party", "Summertime B", etc.
The above events were organized by the following promo groups: "Electrokids", "Mad Mouse", 12" & Extra, Lotos ("Diskoteq"), "Riddim Assassins Sound System", "Night.by" and others.
He has also played in the following clubs: "Kletka", "Step", "Alkatraz", "Gudvin", "Podkovan", cafe-bar "Yoyo", "Voyage". He has also taken part in some private events.

Although he prefers the hard darkstep, techstep and trancestep sound, often with his sets almost going into hardcore, it was curiously enough that after many experiments in producing, he turned to neurofunk in 2006. Fortunately, he keeps on experimenting, finding new variants of sounds and improving on his compositions. The first track that appeared in the mass arena was "WaveCut feat Biopsyhoz – Psycode", which is a remix of the composition titled "User" by Moscow alt-rock band "Biopsyhoz". It featured on the album "Future Forces of Russian Drum & Bass part 1" which was released in July 2006 on the St. Petersburg label Macro Vision. In autumn 2006 he also released the track "No War" on the free internet-label "T-FREE" (Tilt Recordings). He also has a few tracks signed to several labels. His dream is to populize Drum & Bass music among people.

His favourite producers are Current Value, Technical Itch, Desimal, Mumblz, Counterstrike, Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch, Calyx, Black Sun Empire, SPL, Noisia, Enduser, DJ Hidden, Milo, Prolix, Gein, Proton Kid, Greyone, OTM, Limewax, Blu3, Unabomber and others.
His favourite labels are Killing Sheep, Technical Itch, Technical Freak, Habit, Freak, Outbreak, Evol Intent, Position Chrome, Intrasigent, Obsession, Defcom, Bondage, Mindsaw, Flight Recordings and others.
