The list of their top listened tracks is funny. It naturally features the catchiest of their tracks, but looks like people really dig those awfully cheesy and terrible remixes more than the originals, which are much better (and still easy to listen to).

While listening "Dying Star", I realise how I love York music. It's surely one of the top artist of trance / ambient or anything called "light electronic" (by contrast to dark electro and witch house scene). I love ATB, van Buuren, van Dyk and others most known from this scene, but York will always have the special place in my heart. Just breathtaking.

As a huge fan of "Experience" and "Peace", somehow I thought "Islanders" wouldn't reach the same level... and fortunately I was wrong! :-) It's so nice how "Islanders" dialogs with the older albums, featuring a kind of rework of Reachers of Civilisations and maintaining some clear ressemblences with the balearic-beat ambient of Peace.

All of their tracks are epic, however I'll be honest when I put "Reachers of Civilisation" at the top for my preference.

On the beach is timeless. The perfect dance/trance version of a Chris Rea song (EVER).
