Sorry to hear about all your servers exploding and i hope you're not too stressed. In a week or two most users will have forgotten but the site and yourselves will come out of it stronger.

i have a vague idea for an application that would feed my top last.fm artists (for say 12 months) into a hype machine search, the resulting list of blogs would then be used to automatically update which ones i subscribe to in a reader, the reader would then periodically download music files from the blog posts for me. All i would have to do is choose what to listen to again and again and what not to, i wouldn't need to read a blog post or even scan it to look for a download, i wouldn't even have to look at one and i wouldn't even have to take note of artist and song names. This system might need to throw in a bit of random now and then to avoid stagnation and for the same reason sometimes work on last.fm recommended artists as opposed to just the ones i listen to. if only i wasn't so lazy then i'd write it myself.
