Thanks. I had to look at your recently listened tracks to figure out what you were talking about. Seems I don’t remember half the shouts I make on here.

Is that Ambient Church? No, I haven’t heard it yet. Looks promising though. I’ll have to check it out soon. He never disappoints.

Hell yes it is, I put it as background music to study to and some tracks made me check their name out, they're very good! Nothing I'd relate to a church though lmao

I'm here from your Spotify playlist about the Cold Meat Industries label. I gotta say I'm loving it so far, lots of sick and weird tracks and lots of potential too. Whenever I'm on my phone app, though, the playlist is ordered in a descending age (newer is first) and I'd like to ask you to make it so the first tracks are the oldest. I know I can change this on the desktop app, but not on mobile, and I can't set Spotify to play it backwards. That is, if you want to and noone complains. I just really dig it and would like to be able to scrobble it from oldest to newest, as I think it's the way that makes more sense. Thanks, and happy scrobbling! Sick library dude.

Hello. I’m glad you’re enjoying the playlist. I’m not sure what you mean about the order though, because I did arrange it in chronologically ascending order. The first album should be Death Time by Morthond, which is how it appears on my Spotify. Perhaps you’re referring to the Lille Roger and Bomb the DayNursery stuff being tacked on at the end? That’s because they are newly released compilations from a newly revived CMI, even if the material is from the very early days. I can move it to the beginning though if that’s your only issue. If it’s something else then I’m not sure how to fix it.

Ah yes, I was talking about BtD being at the end. If you could do that it'd be awesome. Thanks for the big ass playlist bro :))))

Exactly. The race swapping thing annoys me. Especially when it only goes one way… but most annoying, is that these stories are based on Northern European lore and myths passed down through literally thousands of years of storytelling. But the most egregious is when they made Heimdall black in Thor. Don’t get me wrong, Eldris Elba is an amazing actor, and played it well… but this isn’t just fantasy per se. It is based on a real religion. And in that religion, the Eddas and stories describe Heimdall as the whitest and fairest of all the Gods. Now imagine if a film made about, say, Zulu Gods replaced a character that was described as the darkest of them all… with a white actor. Notice not one Wakandan was white? I am all for diversity, but make new stories. Don’t force it on existing characters or lore. And perhaps the worst tragedy of all is that the female dwarves in the new series don’t have beards. Come on, that’s just disrespecting the lore outright.

You'd think that the wokists would welcome the idea of bearded female dwarves, but I guess that's too extreme even for them. I get what you're saying about forced diversity in certain genres. People who complain about racial diversity in, say, Star Trek are totally missing the point of the show. But in the case of fantasy that is based on European history and folklore, it just doesn't make any sense and hinders the suspension of disbelief.

You get it. I have ZERO reservations/problems with sci-fi having diversity. Because it’s not based on actual history. Don’t get me started on Hamilton! 😉 Did you know the producers actually refused to hire white people… the gall. Imagine re-telling a story of, say, the creation of Ethopia, with all white actors snd actually turning away any black/african actor. Grr. Woke people aren’t against racism. They love it, but only if it applies to whites. What gets me is that they’re trying to correct 20th century, that unfortunately WAS racist and cast whites in almost every role. But this isn’t the solution. Black creators need to make new lore. New characters that inspire us, and make little black or brown (or whatever) children want to grow up to be them. For instance, new Ms. Marvel trailer dropped today… and it looks wonderful, and true to the comic book.

Just popped by and peeked a bit! :) How would you go about introducing someone to David Bowie's music? There's so many albums, do you have any way to break them down? Also, how would you introduce someone to The Cure? :D

That’s tough because both artists have incredibly diverse outputs, and fans’ favorites and reasons for first loving these artists will vary widely. So I can only speak very generally here. In Bowie’s case, nearly all of his 70s albums are superb and can be approached in any order, though I generally recommend listening chronologically. Seeing as how you appear to mostly be into hard rock and metal, I’d recommend starting with The Man Who Sold the World, which is his heaviest and most “classic rock” sounding album, and from there moving on to the glam rock of Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, and Aladdin Sane. With The Cure I recommend starting with the ’78-’85 singles collection Standing on a Beach, which showcases the rapid early evolution of their sound from post-punk to goth to whimsical pop to arena rock. After that, check out 1989’s Disintegration, which is objectively their magnum opus. This should give you a good rudimentary sense of what The Cure is all about.

Thank you so much for the thorough reply. The only Bowie track I really listen to is 'Let's Dance'. Metal and hard rock is my main stuff, yes, but I've branched out a great deal these past years. It just doesn't show too much in my top plays. :P Nevertheless, it sounds like a good starting point and moving in that direction. Very interesting with The Cure! It's rare somebody recommends a compilation, but it makes very good sense, the way you explain it. And it sounds pretty exciting to see the evolution of the band in that way! Thank you kindly once more. :)

Track down Skin Area - New Skin, you liked Martin Bladh this is his non-solo noise, all albums are great, but New Skin has great dronings mixed in with it's chaotic rhythems.

"Nice new pic and About Me." Thank you. I'm not sure if the phone in Schopenhauer's hand is visible though. He's supposed to be taking a selfie.
